Welcome, 2018!

My favorite course marker sign from the HMSA Classical course
As I woke this morning, I got a twinge of no-blog guilt and decided to pop in this brief update. It's been six months since Harvey struck Houston. Rebuilding is still happening all around in flood-damaged areas, but normal life has resumed.

In that time I was able to muddle my way through a training regimen, running the HMSA Classical 10 Miler in November in preparation for the Aramco Houston Half Marathon in January. Neither event was remarkable performance-wise but I'm mostly grateful that I'm still  out there to run each year.

Since the Aramco Half, I think I was really ready for a shift and haven't done much exercise-wise really. Now it's March and I can't really use chilly weather for an excuse to stay in. So now I find myself scanning Houston Running Calendar for something fun to do this spring.
